About MT-1 (Melanotan 1)

MT-1, also called afamelanotide, is a synthetic linear peptide of 13 amino acids modeled on alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (alpha-MSH). It differs from the natural hormone by two substitutions, norleucine and D-phenylalanine. Supplied as a lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder for laboratory research.
