Description
A lab-made mirror-image peptide that blocks FOXO4 from binding the p53 protein.
FOXO4-DRI is a synthetic 46-residue peptide built mostly from D-amino acids in reversed order, a retro-inverso design. It joins a section of the FOXO4 protein to a cell-penetrating segment from the HIV TAT protein. Supplied as a lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder for laboratory research.
What scientists have studied, and in what kind of study: lab dish, animal, or human.
Studied for: the FOXO4–p53 protein link and senescent (worn-out) cells (mouse studies).
That describes the research, not what a vial does.
